Hello everyone! I'm back from break and I hope you all had a lovely January!

I know mine was quite eventful. Both in good ways, and bad ways.

First off, my older brother married his girlfriend! They tied the knot at the court house in the town they live in, and only close family members were present. However, come April they'll have a more formal wedding reception where extended family and close friends will be invited. Plus, I might just get the job of designing the wedding programs like I did for my cousin, so yay!

Secondly (and the best part of the month for me), I moved into a bigger, more private room in the house! Whoot! It used to be my brothers, but now it's all mine! It's located in the basement, and that means it only has one window well, so then that means there's not a lot of natural light unfortunately. I LOVE sunlight so that was one of the downsides to moving, but if I get special lamps that will fix the lack of sun problem. Though on the brighter side, I gained a walk-in closet and my own bathroom! Double WHOOT!

Now... for some sad news... My cat Melody passed away. About two weeks ago, I had to make the unfortunate discussion to put her down. She had stopped eating. Even when I bought soft food for her, thinking maybe she was too old to handle hard food anymore, she still didn't eat. With each passing day, she got thinner and weaker. Melody is known to be a very skittish cat, but she would barely budge when approached. So, as much as I hated having to make the decision, I didn't want to see her suffer and die of starvation. She was an old cat; fourteen years old. She did live a long and good life, so I have no regrets.

Well, that's enough out of me for now. Hopefully I didn't put anyone in too down a mood with that last bit. A months worth of an update does result in a journal entry being a bit of a splurge.
